Who We Are
Nissi College School is a Mixed Boarding and Day Urban-Modern Secondary Private School founded on the Christian doctrine (Exodus 17:15). The school is designed to address the education needs in the community, bridge the variance of education in the region and produce students for admission in the public institutions through provision of quality education after the insurgency of the LRA in Lango sub-region.
The school was officially launched and opened on July 3, 2018 by Thomas Wells the Co-founder and President of the Wells Mountain Initiative USA in the company of the WMI Staff – Carol Wells, Jordyn Wells and Nicole H. Schmitz. The school is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Uganda under license number ME/32/6284.
The school curriculum prepares students to deal with the challenges posed by the rapid growth and developments of the world, to solve problems, to become acquainted with facts and opinions and to acquire necessary information.
The ultimate aim of Nissi College School – Lira is to produce all round students who are literate, skillful, and confident and have self-respect. On leaving the school the student should have developed socially acceptable characters with honesty, integrity, hard-work and discipline and above all God fearing in order for them to live in the present society in comfort.
